Data analyst for credit risk modeling
Česká republika : Hlavní město Praha
What does this job entail?
The credit risk data hub in Belgium is seeking a data analyst for their location in CSOB Prague.
Within the financial sector there is more and more pressure to ensure data is of sufficiently high quality and that it is consistent across systems and reports. This is particularly the case in the heavily regulated and supervised area of credit risk modelling. The European Central Bank (ECB), as well as internal validation and audit, continue to increase the requirements and expectations on data quality. Consequently, there is a great need for centralizing and automating the data collection process to the highest extent possible.
As a data analyst for credit risk modelling within the Group Credit Risk Directorate, you will in a first instance support the functional analysts in streamlining and standardizing the data collection processes with the goal to strengthen the consistency and quality of the data we collect for model validation purposes. In particular, you will support the implementation team with data investigations needed for improving the data collection pipelines as well as dive deep into all KBC IT systems and available data in order to build up the historical database. On the longer term, you will become responsible for maintaining and monitoring the data quality of all data flows towards and within our database. You will also further support our advances in straight-through-processing, e.g., setting up automated processes for data quality monitoring, quantifying the impact of data quality issues on further processes and data flows, etc.
The team you join is particularly diverse, gender-wise, nationality-wise and age-wise, and it is spread across offices in Belgium (Ghent, Leuven, Brussels), Czech Republic (Prague) and Bulgaria (Sophia). You will work with junior colleagues, as well as more experienced colleagues. Diversity is a great strength in our team.
