The vacancy is situated within the Company Risk department, you will reside in KBC AM subsidiary CSOB AM in Prague. Our mission is to be a front runner in operational risk, pro-actively contributing to KBC AM and KBC Group projects, to design the internal control environment in a way to decrease operational risk exposure (and operational risk incidents hereafter), and watch over it to actively enhance and contribute to the risk culture in KBC AM and KBC Group and strengthen the risk skills and knowledge of our colleagues in close and excellent co-operation with all our stakeholders.
As part of an international team of company risk managers (situated in Brussels, Prague and Dublin), you will be involved in the various activities of our department in all entities of KBC AM Group (in Belgium, Czechia, Ireland, Slovakia, Hungary and Bulgaria), amongst others:
• Risk identification: NAPP, Global Risk Scan, deep dives
• Risk measurement: we challenge risk and control (re)assessments, process risk profiles and process scores
• Risk monitoring and reporting: risk reporting, 2nd line monitoring and operational controls, action plan management
• Risk Appetite Statement
• Business Continuity Management
The Company Risk department acts as partner towards all managers where it concerns identification, evaluation and the proposal of mitigating actions for strategic, business, reputational and operational risks.

As a member of our team you will be responsible for
Concretely, as Company Risk Manager, we expect you to take up the following roles, after receiving extensive training and supported in first instance by your direct colleagues:
- You will detect, assess and evaluate the key risks and controls of our core processes, together with business
- You will become an advisor for KBC AM, giving advice when an incident occurs. Together with all involved parties you will become knowledgeable in investigating the root causes and challenge the action plans
- You take care of the implementation of new risk management standards by translating them to the different business teams
- You can represent Company Risk in and outside KBC ( by giving presentations, interactions with Audit, attending the Opr group days, …) and will be involved in the major KBC AM and group (risk) projects
- You write clear and to-the-point memos and present them in meetings with senior management
- You will learn to create and present risk dashboards and follow up on key risk and key performance indicators
- You are part of (international) project groups focusing on specific assignments on e.g. outsourcing, operational resilience, follow -up ECB recommendation
- You will be part of an international, dynamic and heterogeneous team with various backgrounds working on attractive projects from a theoretical and practical point of view
You will be supported in your role by means of general KBC Asset Management trainings, specialized classical trainings and on the job learning. Apart from content driven trainings, we invest in our team via team- and skill trainings. You will be supported and coached by your direct colleagues.
