About the position

We have a vacancy in CSOB Asset Management Risk Management team that we are now looking to fill. Are you an economist, mathematician or have a similar background focused on quantitative skills or have straight risk management experience? Can you not only control but more importantly advise on how to properly manage investment risk? Do you know financial markets and want to be the person who is a partner to our business but also knows when to pull the handbrake? Then we are looking for you!

What will be your job

  • Monitoring risk positions and analyzing how to prevent risks. Checking investment limits, analyzing when they are exceeded, preparing risk reports
  • Advising portfolio managers and company management on how to manage risk properly
  • Data quality control because nothing can be managed without the right data
  • Participation and assistance in the organization of risk committees
  • Calculation of risk indicators, development, and preparation of risk methodologies
  • But we're not talking just about consulting, you'll also be educating our employees - including senior management

What you need?

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to independently solve common data problems. Knowledge of VBA and SQL are an advantage.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, investment products or portfolio management
  • You should be accurate, systematic, and reliable.
  • You should be motivated by structured and precise work. Meeting deadlines should be a given for you.   
  • Good communication skills in English - you will communicate with colleagues at Prague and abroad.
  • Independence - you need be able to work alone, but at the same time be a team player
  • And then there are the classics - analytical thinking, creativity, initiative, eager to learn and develop, flexibility and the ability to sometimes work extra hard.
