Department and position description
Our department is responsible for supporting the Liferay portal platform and modern Java/Javascript technology stack used to deliver end-user web applications such as public websites (www.csob.cz) and electronic banking.
We are looking for someone who is willing to focus primarily on the Java part of our technology stack.
What will you do?
- Implement and maintain use cases in our applications that require the Java platform knowledge and skills
- Implement and maintain services based on Spring Boot and Spring Framework, or sometimes on Liferay portal platform
- Work with the team members to support our Java/Javascript technology stack and help application developers from other departments to use it appropriately
- Assist colleagues in the operations team with troubleshooting Java related issues
- Research the Java platform, Spring Boot and Spring Framework for new features that can be used in our context
What is expected of you?
- Some experience with web application development
- Experience with the Spring Boot and Spring Framework, or willingness to learn.
- Some familiarity with other technologies in our stack (Typescript, ReactJS, Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Liferay, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with other colleagues
- Adhering the best practice rules adopted by the team, such as following coding guidelines, participating in code reviews, etc.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
- Strong team spirit and communication skills
