The Role  

We are looking for a Delivery Manager to play a key role in establishing of our newest IT team. Are you interested to work on one of the biggest strategic projects of KBC to build a proactive digital assistant? Are you ready to drive innovation? 

 

Kate is KBC’s digital assistant designed to deliver unique experience to our clients, making their daily banking or insurance operations easier than ever, from the comfort of their homes. Kate is already helping KBC clients in Belgium and Czech Republic and will be launched soon in all other entities of the group.

As a Delivery Manager you will be building and leading a team to enhance the capabilities of KBC’s digital assistant for our international markets – Bulgaria, Hungary and Slovakia. You will be working together with countries’ business and technical teams to plan and deliver Kate’s new functionalities. The Delivery Manager will be collaborating with colleagues across the Group to identify synergies and opportunities for smart reuse.   

 

The Challenge  

As a delivery manager, you have 4 major areas of responsibility:  

 

Managing the delivery  

  • You are responsible for the delivery and maintenance of Kate use cases   
  • You take care of the relationship management with local country business and technical teams  
  • You align business demand with the capacity of the team and plan execution accordingly  
  • You are responsible for the operational quality  
  • You ensure reuse of available components and contribution to shared group repository  

 

Managing your workforce  

  • You lead SAFe agile release train (ART) with dedicated wagons for each internal client.  
  • You ensure the correct staffing in terms of both capacity and knowledge  
  • You provide a strategic workforce plan linked to the future of your team/s  
  • You are a confident leader of cross-functional / multi-cultural teams  
  • People management  
  • Responsible for building a new exciting team / organization  
  • You are responsible for the long-term development of your employees  

 

Drive the change   

  • You ensure that processes, assets and tools are deployed as optimally as possible 
  • Strong track record in digital service offerings to customers  
  • Drive continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and appropriate metrics  

 

 

The Talent  

As a Delivery Manager you are a skillful leader and you possess the following skills and qualities:

  • The ability to make autonomous decisions and set priorities.  
  • Someone who is proactive and creative and who can find consensus and bring parties together. An active listener, who can motivate and convince.  
  • Someone who can think out of the box, but can still put the whole in a proper context.  
  • Result-driven  
  • Good communication skills 
  • Good coaching skills where you let your employees grow and give them the necessary opportunities  
  • Fluent in English  
  • Understanding of cloud native design and development principles. Experience with AWS is a plus.  
  • Experience with programming languages (preferably Java or Phyton); good understanding of frontend technologies  
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools 

 

Experience 

  • Master in Computer Science of Engineering or relevant  
  • Extensive experience in IT program management – proven track records of leading major delivery programs in IT   
  • Experience leading distributed/virtual teams  
  • Experience with co-operation across borders is a plus  
  • SAFe / agile  certification is a plus  
  • Experience in Banking or Insurance industry is a plus
