Engineer for Informatica and Teradata

KBC Rainbow BI Competence Center (BICC) is looking for a new colleague for BICC Technical Expert position within the large Rainbow project preparing DWH-based solution for Company Management of all KBC Group in 6 countries. As the System Engineer for Informatica, Teradata, or other technology in the Rainbow BICC team, you would work on implementation of an unique technical solution, its development, operation, administration, and support group-wide.

Your responsibilities will include:

• tuning and support of particular family of technology / products implemented in Rainbow
• Informatica (ETL mappings and development tools, Reference Data Management, Master Data Management, Enterprise Data Catalogue)
• Teradata (HW, OS, database on all DWH layers, development automation)
• System Orchestration, Configuration Management, Release Management,
• Data modelling
• active participation on Roadmap for Rainbow development and implementation
• give relevant guidance to various development and data integration teams from the system improvement perspective;
• give advice and support towards solution designs;
• bring the best state-of-the-art practices and share them with other Rainbow teams
• hands-on problem solving to ensure that environments, technology and tools can be utilised effectively by Rainbow teams; use vendor labs contacts to get problems and incidents solved;
• coordination and follow up of patching, updates and upgrades on particular products;
• active work on system performance improvements

You will:

• be part of an international team
• be working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) context 
• work in a dynamic cross-functional team spanning both Business and IT

What do we expect from you:

• to be fluent in English, both written and spoken;
• broad experience in data management area from an infrastructure perspective
• knowledge of datawarehousing, ETL theory and design, as well as data management (specific technology training may be provided);
• experienced knowledge of SQL;
• to work in close collaboration with other teams within the Rainbow program - therefore a constructive, forward looking, team spirit attitude is absolutely necessary;
• analytical skills, stress resistancy, flexibility and ability to work independently;
• Czech/Slovak language knowledge would be a benefit;
