IT Functional Analyst

KBC's trading room is a dynamic environment where foreign exchange, bonds and derivatives transactions are concluded and processed. Using advanced business and IT systems, which are constantly evolving and changing, these transactions are recorded, positions and risks monitored, products processed and communications established with exchanges and professional counterparties. The BIIO @ Markets organization (Business and ICT) develops, manages and supports a wide range of applications, for KBC Bank, CBC and foreign branches. For this position the focus is on the Murex and Sophis environments. Murex and Sophis are two leading international software packages that form the core of many dealing rooms worldwide. Business and ICT colleagues work closely together, and we are looking for a functional analyst who can help shape the evolutions in these environments.

 

Your duties consist of:

 

  • As a functional analyst you are part of the team that further develops and optimizes Murex and Sophis and realizes projects.
  • Your main responsibility is to convert business requirements into a functional design, in other words the linking pin between the technical colleagues and the users. - functional of the end-to-end processing using the Murex system, including all its links, workflows, processes and products, - participate and/or lead projects in a BIO context (together with business) mainly responsible for the functional business side.
  • This includes tasks such as process and business analysis, design of workflows, parameterization, programming, testing of the application and training and implementation for the users.
  • The customers are all Murex users: the dealers and traders in the Front Office of Brussels, the foreign branches and affiliates, the Back Office and the Murex users in other KBC support services.

 

Expectations:

 

 

  • You have a master's degree (or equivalent through accumulated experience) with a specialization in Economics, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics
  • You have a strong affinity with IT, in particular we value knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming languages (such as C++, C#, Java, ...) Knowledge of Python, SQL is a plus.
  • You have an interest in financial markets.
  • You like to work in a context where you can independently take on tasks, and you can check different proposals with the business parties.
  • You are analytical (in breadth and depth)
  • You have a driven and dynamic personality and you can take responsibility.
  • You have a good knowledge of English
  • You are eager to learn, team-oriented and stress resistant.
