Scrum master

Pega is one of the business process management applications which we develop and run in the BSCC (Business Solution Competence Center) domain. Several departments of KBC Group use Pega as workflow and case management tool for their operational activities.

Team Lead is acting as a conduit between management and staff being responsible for managing a group of people including motivating, coaching, KPI-setting, performance management and HR-management (interviews with potential employees, training and development, knowledge management, career guidance and evaluation).

The PEGA team is working based on the SAFe agile way of working therefore the person will also take up the Scrum master role.  The aim of this role is to plan, monitor and report on team delivery, remove blockers and support the team in smooth operation.

 

Your responsibilites:

 

  • provides guidance to the team with a vision of the team objectives in line with the overall strategy of BSCC domain
  • provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints
  • encourages creativity and continuous improvement
  • allocation of work, ensures all necessary services are available and workload is under control
  • continuously monitoring capacity, efficiency, costs and risk of activities
  • participates in team meetings and stand-ups
  • part of the domain management team
  • sets up and maintains good cooperation with other teams in domain and rest of the organization (HR, Risk, Finance, ICT, …)
  • a Scrum Master is a 'servant leader' helping the rest of the Scrum Team deliver Value, he fosters self organization, helps the Scrum Team to keep on track, productive and growing in ability
  • (s)he understands the Scrum Framework and is able to coach/train/teach others in it
  • (s)he helps the Product Owner how to create and maintain the Product Backlog 
  • (s)he helps the Development Team to implement technical practices to allow them to finish their work at the end of the sprint
  • (s)he works with the Scrum Team to evolve the Definition of Done 
  • (s)he removes the obstacles that prevent the team's progress 
  • (s)he facilitate meetings like the Planning Meeting, Daily Scrum Meeting, Sprint Review en Retrospective meeting
  • (s)he is responsible for ensuring that the Scrum Team is understood and in place, inside the team and outside, and helps everyone improve to make the Scrum Team more productive and valuable
  • (s)he is always motivated!!!
