The SSC Automation & Tooling team, as part of KBC Global Services – Bulgaria branch, supports Group-wide credit risk modelling and validation activities through high-quality software solutions. The team provides services to the entire KBC Group by developing and maintaining in-house Python-based software supporting decision-making and credit risk processes.

We are looking for a motivated Data Analyst to join our team in Sofia.
What does this job entail?
Within the financial sector, there is increasing pressure to ensure that modelling and validation processes are reliable, consistent, and compliant with evolving regulatory requirements, particularly in the highly regulated area of credit risk modelling. As expectations from the European Central Bank (ECB) and internal control functions continue to grow, there is a strong need to centralise, automate, and standardise these processes. In the Automation and Tooling team, this translates into developing solutions that enforce consistency and enable efficient, audit-ready workflows across the full modelling and validation lifecycle.
In this role, you will work with large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights supporting credit risk modelling and validation processes. You will perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, distributions, and anomalies, and contribute to the development of automation tools within the Risk department.
