As Data Governance Officer, you will reinforce our Central Data Governance Office (CDGO). In this role, you will support our Group Chief Data Manager and General Manager in implementing sound and effective data governance across KBC Group. You will help transform our frameworks and policies into practical tools for day-to-day operations, fostering a healthy data risk culture.

In doing so, you have the chance to make a significant impact on the organization's data management, data governance, and reporting capabilities.

  • You facilitate and oversee the decentralized implementation of KBC Group's Data Governance Framework(s).
  • You collaborate with and advise local Chief Data Managers and Data/Report Owners on groupwide standards.
  • You assess compliance with BCBS 239 and Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (RDARR) capabilities.
  • You monitor the health, robustness, and data quality of E2E reporting processes and report to relevant Data Governance Bodies.
  • You participate in group-level change management processes that impact E2E reporting processes.
  • You stay informed about external data management and governance developments to inspire our Management.
  • You regularly report progress on implementation to the Management Body.
  • You provide groupwide training on Data Culture, Data Governance, and Data Quality Management.

  • You have a university degree and previous experience or interest in data management, data governance, and/or BCBS 239.
  • Translating concepts and guidelines into KBC-specific contexts poses no problem for you. 
  • You have excellent analytical skills and the natural ability to switch between theory and practice.
  • You enjoy working with others across domains and countries, building bridges and incorporating diverse views. 
  • Your interpersonal and problem-solving skills are a great asset to any collaboration.
