You analyze complex data-related challenges, translate the needs of modelling and validation teams into functional solutions, and help further improve and automate processes related to data quality, monitoring, and validation. The role combines functional analysis and data analysis. Depending on your experience and interests, your focus may be more on in-depth data investigations or on functional design and coordination.
You will join an international team with colleagues in Belgium, Prague, and Sofia. You will work in a highly regulated environment where data quality, governance, and traceability are essential.

- You act as the main point of contact for modelling and validation teams regarding data requirements, questions, and incidents.
- You translate business and modelling requirements into clear functional designs for implementation teams.
- You contribute to the further development of the credit risk modelling database and its related data delivery processes.
- You coordinate new functionalities and, together with data engineers and analysts, ensure the quality of delivered solutions.
- You perform impact analyses for new developments and process changes.
- You help design and implement data quality controls, monitoring solutions, and automated validation processes.
- You investigate complex data issues and contribute to structural solutions across source systems, business processes, and the central database.
- You automate model monitoring and annual validation processes wherever possible.
- You build a thorough understanding of KBC’s credit processes, IT applications, and data flows, and use this knowledge to develop sustainable solutions.

- You hold a Master's degree in Economics, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or another quantitative field.
- You have at least two years of experience in the financial sector and are familiar with credit risk concepts such as PD, EAD, and LGD models.
- You have experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar role.
- You have experience with complex data structures and data flows and can quickly identify connections between processes, systems, and data.
- You are able to translate complex requirements into pragmatic and sustainable solutions.
- You communicate clearly with business, modelling, and IT teams and can align different interests and expectations.
- You work in a structured manner, take ownership, and have a strong focus on quality.
- Knowledge of Python, SQL, Jira, and Confluence is an asset.
- You communicate fluently in English.
