KBC Asset Management (AM) provides asset management services to clients in Belgium, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Bulgaria. In total, we manage over EUR 200 billion in assets. Within KBC AM, the Dealing & Swap Desk (ADE) has a supporting role: we execute transactions and manage hedging activities for a wide range of funds, including capital-protected and structured funds.

As an OTC Derivatives Hedging Specialist within this team, you have a clear mission: protecting our clients’ investment outcomes. Supported by experienced colleagues and targeted training, you will build in-depth knowledge of financial markets and our product offering. Step by step, you will assume responsibility for hedging activities related to OTC derivatives — from interpreting term sheets and setting up instruments, to executing hedges and ensuring that all confirmations, bookings and reconciliations are completed accurately from start to finish.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across multiple teams, including Portfolio Management, Risk, Operations, Legal and IT. We believe the best ideas emerge through collaboration and knowledge sharing. You can expect a dynamic, international working environment.

  • You translate product documentation into accurate system inputs, ensuring transactions are correctly recorded and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • You help calculate hedging requirements for new and existing funds. You request price quotes from counterparties and execute hedge transactions in line with agreed guidelines.
  • You participate in the periodic hedge maintenance cycle, preparing and executing trades and ensuring all bookings and controls are completed correctly.
  • You support the annual interest rate hedge rebalancing by comparing current positions with target exposures and executing the required hedges. In close cooperation with portfolio managers, Risk colleagues and counterparties, you contribute to well-balanced portfolios for our clients.
  • Post-trade, you ensure smooth follow-up by supporting trade confirmations, preparing reports and responding to queries, in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • You stay curious about market developments and contribute ideas to improve our tools, pricing models and processes. Over time, you will also be involved in project work.

  • You hold a master’s degree in Business Economics, Commercial Engineering, Mathematics, Civil Engineering or IT.
  • You are genuinely interested in financial markets and motivated to build deep expertise in this domain. You are curious about pricing models (such as Monte Carlo and Black–Scholes) and payoff structures.
  • Analysis is one of your key strengths. You enjoy working with tools such as Python or VBA; even if you do not write the code yourself, you understand it.
  • Like your colleagues, you value constructive collaboration and take a solution- and client-oriented approach.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively, both in Dutch and in English.

  • We provide excellent onboarding, strong team spirit and a pleasant working atmosphere. You will never be on your own.
  • Throughout your career at KBC, we actively encourage personal and professional development. You will have access to training to further develop both hard and soft skills.
  • You can work from home up to 50% per month. At the same time, we place great importance on team cohesion, which is why you will work at least one day per week at the same physical location as your direct colleagues.
  • Flexible working hours help you balance work and private life.
  • We offer a permanent contract and a competitive salary complemented by attractive fringe benefits. Sounds familiar? Of course — you read that in every vacancy. What sets KBC apart is its extensive flexible benefits package, too extensive to detail here. We will be happy to discuss the full range of benefits with you during the interview process.
