Application Manager for Financial Markets

This role combines two worlds: the Financial Markets area of big banks and technical skills. The ideal candidate needs some knowledge of and interest in Economics or Financial Markets, as well as an affinity for Information Technologies. As a new team member, you will learn about Financial Markets products (Forex and Interest Rate products) and technical skills like SQL, XML‑based languages, etc., as well as working on and implementing new features in the Murex application, which is the number one application for Financial Markets. You will be helping colleagues across the world (Czech Republic, Belgium, UK, Asia) with their issues and implementing changes based on their needs. You will participate in (and lead) projects in the Financial Markets area. You will be part of an international team (Belgium–Czech Republic) and spend some time on training in Brussels (if the situation allows).

 

What you will do:

• Business support for end users / problem solving
• Business analysis (preparing solutions based on clients’ needs)
• Changes in the system / implementation of new changes (projects)
• Building expertise in the Financial Markets area
• Looking for efficiencies and new technologies
