Our team at KBC GS Business Solution Competence Center provides direct support to internal business end users through software development, process automation, reporting, and much more. We work with a variety of technologies, from Appian to Pega, RPA, SQL, Web2PY and others.

We are currently looking for an Application Manager to join our Appian team. If you are passionate about innovative solutions and eager to contribute to impactful projects in a collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you.

 

About the role

As an Application Manager in our Appian team, you will be the person who understands our applications, processes, and business needs in depth. You will ensure that applications remain stable, efficient, and aligned with changing business and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvements and innovation.

Working closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and support teams, you will help shape the future of our Appian-based solutions and contribute to the digital transformation of KBC operations.

 

What will you do

  • Act as the primary link between business stakeholders and the Appian development team
  • Gather, analyze, and challenge business requirements to identify the most effective solutions
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories
  • Ensure that business, operational, security, and regulatory requirements are reflected in application designs
  • Collaborate with developers throughout the entire delivery lifecycle
  • Support solution design, testing, deployment, and post-release validation
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations
  • Provide support and manage incidents, defects, and enhancement requests while keeping stakeholders informed
  • Drive process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain functional documentation and support agile delivery processes using Jira and Confluence
  • Contribute to the long-term vision and evolution of Appian applications and platforms

 

During your first week

  • You will learn our applications, processes, and ways of working within a SAFe Agile environment
  • You will work closely with experienced Application Managers, Developers, and Business Analysts, as well as the Team Leader, Scrum Master, and Product Owner
  • You will engage with business stakeholders to understand their challenges and needs
  • You will become part of an international team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning are part of everyday work

Experience we value

  • Experience in Application Management, Business Analysis, Business Process Management, or a similar role
  • Experience working with Appian or other BPM platforms
  • Understanding of workflow automation and process digitalization
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe)
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Basic understanding of software development and testing principles
  • Knowledge of SQL and data analysis is a plus
