Job Description
Officer for BO European Equity Derivatives

#GreatWorkIsNotAMyth

We are looking for a new colleague to join our stable and continuously growing team!
We offer you the opportunity to work in a very interesting area of financial instruments (no sales – we are a back‑office team). You will also be able to use your English skills daily, as it is our official communication language. You will become part of a great group of people who enjoy spending time together even outside of work. And that’s not all—we can offer much more, so keep reading.

What will you actually do?

Your primary task will be to analyze unsettled transactions with financial instruments.Does it sound too general? Here are a few examples of what it involves:

  • Direct communication with brokers, depositories, and stock exchanges—you will be in touch with employees of some of the world’s largest banks and brokers.
  • Resolving discrepancies during the settlement process of financial instruments.
  • Respecting stock‑exchange rules (deadlines for various global stock exchanges, fulfilling specific transaction requirements depending on the market, etc.).
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks related to the settlement process.Independently determining the priority of individual transactions, for example based on their countervalue or market risk. (During your training, everything will of course be done under the supervision of our experienced colleagues.)
  • Practicing effective time management—this is key to success. You will need to organize your workday so that it aligns with team goals and ensures that all important tasks are completed.

The area of settlement is very broad, and even after several years in this field, there is always something new to learn. In the world of financial instruments and markets, you always have opportunities to educate yourself and gain a full picture of all activities related to settlement.

What do we expect from you?

  • Interest in financial markets and financial instruments
  • Analytical thinking that helps you set the right priorities
  • Knowledge of English is essential, as you will use it both in written and spoken form
  • Fluent knowledge of Czech
  • Knowledge of Excel (handling tables, adjustments, filtering, and basic formulas)
  • A proactive approach in seeking new solutions, especially in non‑standard cases
  • Flexibility—the ability to react to unexpected situations that require re‑evaluation of priorities; flexibility is very important for us because such situations occur often
  • Willingness to learn new things so we can improve our processes together and make them more efficient; this means not being satisfied with knowing just one process, but actively seeking opportunities to learn more
  • Stress resistance when working with daily deadlines
