In the Collateral Management team, we help protect KBC from financial risk by managing collateral exchanges with counterparties on a daily basis. Based on OTC and Repo agreements, we ensure exposure is covered using cash or government bonds — reducing potential losses and supporting safer business growth.
Our work closely follows market activity and is split into key areas. We handle daily operations such as payments, validations and collateral movements, while also supporting processes like agreement setup, settlement instructions maintenance and accounting. In addition, we monitor and reconcile valuation differences between KBC and counterparties to keep everything aligned.
Our team and our responsibilities:
- Our task is to supervise that the data in the systems and related documents are correct
- We are the right hand of front office
- We check and ensure that the payments are accurate (trades on financial markets)
- We cooperate with colleagues both in Brno and Brussels
- We communicate with banks all over the world
- We are constantly moving forward! We fine-tune established processes, we suggest, test and implement functional novelties…
Expectations:
- High school or university diploma
- Knowledge of English (you will use it in written as well as in telephone form)
- Responsible approach because every step and click is important
- Being communicative and having a team spirit (don’t be afraid to ask but also be able to help)
- Being able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of financial markets is beneficial but not required – being interested is enough, we will gladly teach you the rest
