Data warehouse Operator

Job Description:

We are looking for a data warehouse operator to expand our project team. We are also happy to take on a junior if they have a passion for working with data and are willing to learn. A dynamic environment of the Rainbow project awaits you. The project aims to connect all banking and insurance companies in the international KBC Group and ensure that all data is stored in one central data warehouse. If you are interested in working with big data and are not afraid to join a dynamic project, we would love to meet you for an interview.
Although this is a project, we are not looking for short-term colleagues. Once our work on the warehouse is complete, we will need those who have been involved in the construction of the warehouse to stay with us and take care of the further development of the warehouse.

What is the role of the data warehouse operator in this?

• The first upload of data to the system and its initial treatment.
• Push data through all the defined daily/monthly DWH run including filling ouput datamarts and backflows, solving hiccups and issues on the way;
• Optimise and execute deployments without mistakes and in time
• Actively improve the DWH Operation, its support, and documentation in all aspects
• Ownership of dedicated DWH component(s)

DWH Operator also:

• Actively looks for any non-standard situations and problems in data in the tenant run, register and analyzes them, and makes relevant actions to reach optimal progress, including timely activisation of supervisor and expert support.
• Takes over, checks and improves the operative documentation; registers and analyses any inconsistencies for correction / completion of manuals.
• Continuosly improves his/her knowledge of the DWH system, its components, as well as source systems of Rainbow entities.
