Financial Analyst
GFS Reporting team provides financial reporting, controlling and other supporting services to KBC head office departments. The team´s main responsibilities are preparation of yearly budgets and cost models, follow-up of costs via regular monthly reporting and various financial analysis. The team is also involved in calculation of business cases, supports ad-hoc reorganizations and budgetary transfers.
As a ´Financial analyst´ you build up expertise in several domains (costs follow-up, transfer pricing, controlling, budgeting etc.) necessary for high-quality managerial reporting. This function contains various aspects: controls of delivered information, thorough analysis, reporting, integration of reorganizations, building a strong relationship with SPOCs in various entities, answering their questions, etc. So this is a challenge where you directly contribute to the financial insights and advice to the managemen.
You will join a nice team, where you will participate from day 1 and acquire knowledge on the job through coaching by experienced colleagues. You will build an in-depth knowledge and network across multiple departments in KBC. The ideal position to build up a broad general basis in KBC, which will be an asset in the development of your further career.
Your responsibilities:
• participation in preparation of yearly budgets
• monitoring and reporting on variances between budgets and actuals
• preparation of overviews, reports, analysis and forecasts needed for controlling purposes
• allocation of costs following Actual Base Costing methodology and applying Transfer Pricing policies/regulations
• communication with management and stakeholders (e.g. internal customers)
• other operational tasks within scope of financial controlling and Transfer Pricing
• supporting management with cost/benefit analysis calculation (Business cases)
We expect:
• university degree ideally in finance or economics
• experience in field of finance (preferably in external audit or controlling) is an advantage, but not necessary
• fluent English language (written and oral)
• at least basic knowledge of financial + managerial accounting, financial planning
• strong analytical and problem solving skills
• good communication skills
• ability to handle stress
• ability to work both, independently and in the team
• advanced user of MS excel (logical functions, pivot tables, etc…)
• knowledge of SAP is an advantage
