Financial Markets Analyst

You will be part of the Financial Markets Middle Office team, which acts as the independent control body for the Front Office and Back Office departments. Main focus is on taking care for entrusted accounts - our team must be capable to provide a detailed overview of the content of accounts attributed to KBC at given time. Other part of our job is solving differences between simulation of Front Office applications and real accounting and protect the bank from financial losses.

 

Your responsibilities:

 

  • control money and capital markets accounts (eg. balances, their use and other "ad hoc" controls)
  • monitor open items in accounts and, if necessary, resolve discrepancies
  • analyze differences in accounting systems
  • prepare reports on accounting inaccuracies and differences for management or other departments
  • communicate across the KBC group
  • update manuals and internal process documents

 

We expect:

 

  • ideally a university degree, but the main thing for us is the desire to actively participate in work
  • we need a good level of English, both spoken and written - your working language
  • stress resistance and the ability to meet deadlines
  • because you will work with other departments, you must not be afraid of communication
  • a lot of work is done with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, ...)
  • is great if you are familiar with dealing products (FOREX, derivatives, bonds, etc.) but we will be happy to teach you everything
  • the knowledge of IFRS is a plus
