Junior Functional Analyst, Prague

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Functional Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a solid foundation in economics, and practical knowledge of banking and insurance products. This entry-level role is perfect for a recent graduate from an economics university who has completed coursework in SQL and is eager to apply their skills in a dynamic, data-driven environment.
In the Prague´s office, we are collaboratively contributing to the development of a Multi-Tenant Warehouse, a project called Rainbow, which serves as a system for regulatory reporting of the whole KBC Group and its entities in 5 EU countries.
What to expect:
- Analyze datasets related to banking and insurance products, identifying trends and patterns that drive business decisions.
- Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather requirements, understand business needs, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Work with SQL databases to query, manipulate, and manage data for analysis.
- Support in maintaining and updating existing databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes and workflows.
Your skills & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field from an accredited university.
- Basic understanding of banking and insurance products.
- Completion of a course focused on SQL with a demonstrated ability to query and analyze data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Good communication skills and the ability to present data insights in a clear, concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have:
- Internship or project experience related to banking, insurance, or financial data analysis.
- Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming languages used in data analysis.
- Knowledge of data management and governance best practices.
