Job Description
Oracle Technical Developer for Group Credit Risk (Prague)

#GreatWorkIsNotAMyth

Is solving problems your hobby? Do you like to dive into puzzles and feel the rush when you solve them? Are you not afraid of the technical maze that can present itself as very complex? Then you might be the Technical Designer we are looking for!

Our project called Rainbow has more than 35 teams which focus on building a completely new data warehouse for regulatory reporting of the whole KBC Group and its entities in 5 EU countries. Within the big Rainbow program, we are the Credit Risk Reporting team. We are responsible to generate reports on KBC’s Credit Risk exposure and regulatory capital.

To do that, we use software (Risk Authority, a.k.a. Ray) from an external vendor (Moody’s Analytics). This is a web-based software that runs on an Oracle Database. Data needs to be loaded from a Teradata database, using BDM-mappings.

We work in a SAFe (Scaled Agile) mode. In short iterations (sprints) new developments are delivered, giving us an improved time to market. We develop, evaluate and steer where necessary during these short cycles. Each time in consultation with our business.

What to expect:

  • You will be part of a well-integrated Business & IT team in an international context.
  • Your role in the team will be to maintain the smooth running of our Risk Authority application.
  • This will be in close cooperation with consultants from Moody’s Analytics and other internal KBC Teams (DBA’s for Oracle, WebSeal team, …).
  • Tasks include investigations on performance, crashing calculations, access control, model design…

Your skills & experience:

  • Experience in domains that use Oracle-databases and SQL
  • Basic experience to explore the file-system on a Unix-server
  • Experience with installing/configuring software packages (together with other interfacing teams) or you are willing to learn
  • Knowledge of Teradata and Jenkins would be a plus, but are no blocking factors
  • You can translate functional requirements into technical designs and implementations together with the other technical colleagues
  • You are self-driven, dynamic and professional
  • You have a high dose of pragmatism and creativity

  • Hybrid working mode with the possibility to work 50% from home. Our core working hours are from 9 am to 3 pm.
  • 28 days off per year to recharge.
