Data plays an increasingly important role in everything we do at KBC. As our data landscape grows and evolves, we are looking for a System Architect who will help us shape and further develop the architecture behind our data platforms.

In this role, you will work on initiatives that have an impact across the entire KBC Group. Together with architects, analysts, developers and business stakeholders, you will help define the future direction of our platforms, contribute to architectural decisions, and support the creation of scalable solutions in areas such as data integration, reporting, analytics, metadata management and governance. You will be one of the key people helping us balance long-term architectural vision with practical delivery.

Your expertise will contribute to building reliable, sustainable and future-proof solutions that support both business needs and regulatory requirements across our banking and insurance activities. Your Main Responsibilities Are: 
 

• draft the roadmap (develop vision, strategy, planning) for the Rainbow platform and take care of the follow-up of the implementation of this roadmap 
• guard the different fundamentals within the platform: Data integration, Reporting & Data analysis, DDL Generation, business glossary, Version control, Data profiling, continuous integration, metadata visualization, master data management, reference data management. 
• responsible for the ICT architecture of these fundamentals 
• give advice and support towards solution designs 
• share the best practices with the enterprise architecture team in function of solution board and with the IT team in function of synergy 
• give training to new developers and technical designers  
   

We are looking for an experienced system engineer or technical analyst who has broad experience from an infrastructure perspective preferably in a data intelligence environment. This assignment will offer you the opportunity to learn about the new tools and the new technologies in a broad environment.
