Senior Functional Analyst for Daily reporting

This vacancy is situated on the ART SoLar, covering Asset & liability Management, Liquidity and Insurance Risk. The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the OneSumX calculation engine used in regulatory reporting processes, working closely together with colleagues of Treasury. The importance of data quality has been increasing enormously in recent years and data management has become one of most exciting domains in the financial industry. At DQM - Data Quality Management - we are at the heart of KBC's data-driven strategy and are responsible for ensuring that KBC delivers top quality reports to national and international regulators, as well as internal reports upon which important decisions are based.
We work with all entities of the KBC Group - at least six banks, five insurers - to produce more than 4500 reports. We receive hundreds of data streams from all entities, perform technical and functional checks on these data, do many calculations and ultimately deliver them in a report for the regulator or management. We are doing this for Treasury, Risk, Credit Risk, Finance and Tax.  


What do we expect from you?

  • We are searching for a senior functional analyst who:
  • translates the business requirements into a detailed functional design in which alternatives (cost/benefit/impact) are worked out. The design should meet the business needs and comply with the existing architecture and standards.
  • gives guidance to the business colleagues on improvement of the (global) OneSumX calculation engine and the implementation
  • works out a test plan and execute the tests to guarantee a qualitative delivery
  • takes the lead in coordinating changes end-to-end, including documentation
  • takes up a mentorship role in order to support and share knowledge to colleagues in the team

 

 What are your strengths? 

  • You have a master's degree and at least 5 years' experience in Asset & liability Management and Liquidity.
  • Analyst métier knowledge and experience
  • You are eager to learn and absorb new information quickly. You have the energy and talent to deep dive into new material, and to build up expertise in it.
  • You have the interest and a strong analytical mind to quickly master the IT processes and the underlying business processes.
  • You strive for high quality of the work you deliver and have good communication skills.
  • You are pragmatic, result driven and take initiative
  • Good practical experience in SQL and excel.
