As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to SimCorp Dimension, the core platform of KBC Asset Management. This platform supports critical asset management processes and must operate reliably, securely, and efficiently every day.
You will build and enhance solutions in and around SimCorp Dimension. In doing so, you will work closely with functional analysts, fellow engineers, infrastructure specialists, and external partners. You will be involved throughout the entire lifecycle, from analysis and design to implementation, production support, and continuous optimization.
You will be part of a department where several teams collaborate toward shared objectives. This gives you the opportunity not only to deepen your technical expertise, but also to gain a thorough understanding of financial products and asset management processes.
You do not need prior knowledge of SimCorp Dimension. We will provide the time, training, and support needed to help you become familiar with both the platform and the world of asset management.
What do we expect from you?
- You translate technical and functional requirements into sustainable and maintainable solutions in and around SimCorp Dimension.
- You configure, integrate, and optimize the platform to support asset management processes.
- You guide solutions from design and implementation through to production and continuous improvement.
- You contribute to releases, deployments, monitoring, and technical controls within a DevOps environment.
- You thoroughly analyze incidents and identify structural solutions that prevent recurring issues.
- You safeguard the quality, security, stability, and continuity of the applications your team is responsible for.
- You automate and standardize development, testing, and release processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- You align with business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, software vendors, and external partners regarding impact, priorities, and progress.
- You work closely with your teammates and contribute to planning activities, demos, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- You document your solutions clearly and actively share knowledge with colleagues both locally and internationally.
Your strengths:
- You hold a Master's degree in Business Engineering with a strong affinity for IT, or a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, supported by a solid foundation in software engineering, system integration, or application management.
- You have strong analytical skills and can translate complex problems into robust, practical solutions.
- You have experience with databases and SQL.
- Knowledge of scripting, APIs, interfaces, or automated processing is considered an asset.
- Experience with SimCorp Dimension or a similar platform is a plus, but not a requirement.
- You are interested in financial markets and instruments and are eager to understand how they are processed within asset management.
- You work accurately and pay close attention to quality, security, documentation, and operational continuity.
- You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams and are open to feedback.
- Experience with Agile, DevOps, or SAFe is a plus. More importantly, you enjoy collaboration and continuously seek ways to improve how work is done.
- You communicate fluently in English and feel comfortable working in an international environment.
