Software/Application Engineer in Asset Management Team (medior)

KBC Asset Management team protects the assets of our clients and helps them grow. We are looking for a Software Engineer who will support internal software system - SimCorp Dimension - which is used to manage our investment portfolio. Your main job is configuration in Dimension according to the input from internal clients. As our software engineer, you strengthen the international team that manages this application.  

 

Your focus? 
Translating the business requirements into an E2E solution and working out the most appropriate solution, together with your team. In doing so, you contribute to safe, future-proof application architecture. 

 

What to expect:   
•    You sit down with your internal clients to capture their needs. Based on the specific business requirements, you propose a functional design of an IT solution. 
•    You align with analysts and engineers from other teams to come to the best solution. 
•    You perform feasibility studies in which you identify alternative solutions and investigate their feasibility on the basis of scope, budget, time to market and their executability in the IT application landscape. 
•    You maintain good work relations with business partners, daring to challenge them in areas such as schedules and deadlines, and budget scopes.
•    System Implementation and Configuration: Assisting in the configuration and customization of Simcorp Dimension to meet business requirements, including setting up modules, workflows.  
•    Support and Troubleshooting: Providing first line support for Simcorp users, troubleshooting issues, and escalating complex problems to seniors or related parties. 
•    Data Management: Importing the data to the system, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data within Simcorp by performing reconciliation tasks, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.   

 

Your skills and experience: 
•     You already have experience and education in IT. Thanks to your background, you quickly make yourself familiar with the business and IT processes at KBC Asset Management.  
•    Also, understanding of Finance, Economics, Information Technology, investment management processes and financial instruments would be plus. 
•    Your greatest strengths are your analytical skills and ability to think conceptually. You have no problem comparing alternative solutions to each other and working with business stakeholders to come to well-thought-out decisions that are in line with the strategy. 
•    You’re motivated by responsibility, take initiative and work constructively with everyone. 
•    You’re open minded. Learning something extra and attempting to do things better? You wouldn’t have it any other way. 
•    You have strong communication skills.
