After thinking about the opportunity overnight, Lucia returned to work the next day and asked whether the offer was still open. Luckily, it was. As she learned more, she gradually began to recognize her own progress and realized that she was capable of succeeding in the role. That decision took her from an assistant position through several analytical roles and eventually into a managerial role.
