KBC Global Services is planting 1000 trees to celebrate reaching 1000+ employees
It's more than planting trees, it is about contributing to a greener future for the generations to come.
We at KBC Global Services have reached a significant milestone - over 1000 people have joined the company since it was founded in 2019. This is an incredible achievement, and it deserves incredible celebration that will leave a mark not only on the lives of our people, but on the local society, too.
As a company where corporate social responsibility is at the forefront and our people are the engine behind numerous charitable and environmental initiatives, it comes as no surprise that we have decided to celebrate our 1000 employees with planting 1000 trees in the region of Varna, Bulgaria.
For some, this would be yet another green initiative, but for the locals like us, this is a major campaign, restoring the local ecosystem and natural habitats, and providing a better quality of life for the local people by offsetting CO2 emissions. And at the end of the day, this will create happier and healthier places to live, work and visit.
This is an initiative to celebrate our present and root for the future.
“1000 employees = 1000 planted trees” campaign has kicked off on a sunny Friday, 8 November 2024, with planting of 200 trees in the city of Byala, a charming small town by the seaside, within Varna Province. A team of about 50 people, led by our General Manager, Todor Petkov, rolled up their sleeves and planted the trees in just a couple of hours. We were incredibly proud to see the enthusiasm and the excitement of our people as they carried heavy buckets of soil up the sunny hill, planting tree after tree.

Тhe General Manager of KBC Global Services Bulgaria, Todor Petkov, said: “Planting a tree is a noble act and a gesture of gratitude to nature. To commemorate the milestone of reaching 1000 employees in Bulgaria, we have decided to make a positive impact on our shared commitment to planet Earth, by initiating the planting of 1000 trees in the Varna region. This is our effort to contribute to a greener future for the generations to come.”
And this is just the beginning.
We are aiming for 1000 trees to be planted and are going to continue our effort in the coming weeks. The next location is Radevo village, again in Varna Municipality. Our team of volunteers are going to plant another 800 to 1000 trees in partnership with the Local Forestry.
These projects are not possible without the participation and support of the local authorities - Byala Municipality and the Local Forestry - and we are more than glad to have laid the foundations of strong partnerships with them.
