What path has led you to your current job as a Business Solution Analyst?
I had my eye on the position of Business Analyst for a while before the start of my journey at KBC Shared Service Center Varna. I have been preparing for it by participating in various trainings in the university and online at home. So, I can say that I was really thrilled when I received an interview invitation for this position on LinkedIn from a Talent Acquisition partner at KBC. I had no other choice than grabbing this amazing opportunity.
One year later, I am thankful for all the knowledge that I gained with the help of our mentors, and I am glad that I can bring value to such an experienced and inspiring team of specialists.
What is your role in Testing Hub?
The role of a Business Solutions Analyst within KBC includes communicating between the business, ICT and operations processes in order to deliver the business requirements into application changes. Taking part in various meetings daily with members of our and other teams is a major part of our day-to-day work. Other main tasks include preparing test documentation, executing tests, registering and keeping track of defects. We also take care of incident handling and writing features documentation.
Can you describe what your typical day looks like?
Every day in the life of the Business Solutions Analyst is different! In an agile environment, I am obliged to take over different tasks and to be involved in various projects, which is a great way to build up knowledge and to understand the business, which is the core of my job.
For me, it’s important to be able to organize my time of the day to be as efficient as possible. First, I check if I have new emails; Afterwards, I participate in a project meeting, where we discuss the progress, the open defects, our plan of the day when it comes to the specific project. Then, we have a daily stand-up meeting with the members of our team, where we keep track of the progress of all projects we are handling,). If there are no other meetings in my daily agenda, I start handling my assigned tasks, while I keep an eye on the mailbox for any incidents or blocking issues.
Tell us a little more about the projects you are working on at KBC.
Right now, I am part of a major project that includes changes, which will bring the end user experience to another level. The aim of the project is to provide a cost - cutting solution on one hand and to deliver additional value to the customers on another hand, while taking into account their preferences in the highly compatible world of digital services in the financial sector.
Tell us more about your team.
Over time, we managed to establish a great team of proactive young people. Each of us is extremely motivated, friendly and cooperative. We always communicate openly about the problems and the achievements we have as team, and this is a great way of brain-storming and learning.
What motivates you every day?
I love communicating with the people from my team. They all are amazing professionals, and at the same time bring a great team spirit, sense of humor and positive vibes to the sometimes stressful work atmosphere.
Moreover, the best motivation is seeing the outcome of our work – it always amazes me how the different teams interact with each other and work as a whole in such a big international organization. At the end, we are all able to see the great results of this collaboration.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like spending time with my friends and family, going out, listening to music and watching movies. I also enjoy discovering new places in the city and the surroundings, and always take the opportunity to go hiking in the nature.
What do you like about working at KBC? What makes the company different?
I like that I everybody’s opinion is being appreciated. Moreover, feeling the stability and good organization are key in those difficult times. There is transparency and frequent feedback from all sides we are motivated to share our ideas, because there is always somebody on the other side who will take it into account.
