About the Role:

As an Application Engineer, you will take functional ownership of one or more applications, ensuring they effectively support business operations throughout their lifecycle. Acting as the bridge between business users, IT teams, and external vendors, you will combine analytical thinking with strong stakeholder management to deliver reliable, secure, and user-focused solutions.

You will work closely with System Managers and System Administrators to ensure applications are properly documented, maintained, and continuously improved to meet evolving business needs.

As our Application Engineer,  you would have the following responsibilities: 

Application Management & Support:

• Act as the primary functional expert for assigned applications
• Provide second-line support, including issue analysis and resolution
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations (monitoring, data quality, incident handling)
• Approve and manage user requests via the Self-Service Portal

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Serve as the main point of contact between the organization and software vendors
• Collaborate with developers, support teams, and external partners to resolve functional queries
• Ensure the right stakeholders are involved at each stage of the application lifecycle

Change & Release Management

• Initiate and follow up on application changes in line with testing and release processes
• Analyze and validate new features and updates from a business perspective
• Define and prioritize enhancements based on user needs and business value

Documentation & Communication

• Create user guides and manuals to support end users
• Communicate updates, changes, and improvements clearly and proactively
• Document functional processes and installation procedures

Security & Compliance

• Ensure applications comply with security, legal, and internal policy requirements (ISO/BISO)
• Monitor and address vulnerabilities and security updates
• Manage end-of-life and end-of-support activities

What You Will Also Be Involved In:

• Preparing and coordinating application implementations
• Identifying improvement opportunities in existing processes
• Contributing to the application roadmap, including feature enhancements and upgrades
• Tracking vendor updates and quality improvements

Key competencies, that will help you succeed: 

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems independently
• Hands-on experience and solid knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite
• Excellent communication skills and user-focused approach
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders across IT and business teams (e.g., SBO, TA, ISO)
