Application Manager (Finance)

To reinforce our Finance Business team within Rainbow, we are looking for an Application Manager, who would be working in a hybrid team, colalborating with colleagues from Belgium as well as from Bulgaria.

As our Application Manager, you would have the following responsibilities:

 

  • Business as usual (BAU) run of the quarterly Securities Holder Statistics (SHS). This is a data set (not a report) of the groupwide inventory of bonds & listed stocks/funds and has to be delivered to the ECB.  A lot of (cross) checks are in place, so automation & tooling will help you in your challenge.  More info on Securities Holdings Statistics | ECB Data Portal (europa.eu)
  • Key responsibility is delivering this output on time and with excellent quality and in a very close cooperation with finance colleagues. 
  • Before and after this BAU activity, the opportunity is taken to analyze issues in previous runs in order to improve or finetune the process by next run. 
  • You'll participate in the analysis of new requirements by the regulator for this impact and will over time take the lead in the implementation of them, from the drafting of the requirements to the validation of the solution created by the responsible teams, before releasing the code towards the production environment.
  • As your expertise increases, you will get the opportunity to grow and step into more complex reports and projects. The more eager you are to learn, the faster you will grow.
  • Ensuring smooth cooperation between business and ICT.
  • Working in line with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to deliver the highest business value for our clients.

 

Key competences that will help you succeed:

 

  • Experience in a similar position - 1 to 4 years.
  • Experience with financial analysis, controlling (in the world of securities) and data modelling;
  • Knowledge on financial/business processes and/or IT processes and applications in the context of the financial sector (or KBC in particular);
  • Fluency in English - daily communication with colleagues from an international team requires excellent spoken and written English;
  • Tooling: Excel & SQL are a must, WKFS, QlickSense are a plus;
  • Analytical mindset and logical/strategic thinking;
  • High precison, even under pressure - you can cope with tasks to be executed on a specific working day according to an available run book;
  • Ability to work in constructive and collaborative matter;
  • Great communication skills;
  • Energetic and positive attitude.
