We are the ART Customer Communication team - the people who ensure every incoming and outgoing document flows smoothly across KBC. Our work sits right at the core of customer experience. From digitalizing incoming communication to supporting a broad set of tools and applications, every document that enters or leaves the company touches our services.
Our Inbound team, based in Varna, is steadily growing - and we are now looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join us.
As our Junior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with experienced developers to build and maintain applications and infrastructure essential for processing customer communication. You’ll gradually develop your technical expertise, work in a DevOps environment, and contribute to creating reliable, high‑quality solutions.
You'll learn, explore, and grow - and over time, take full ownership of your applications and integrations.
You will:
- Work closely with senior developers and technical designers in a SAFe Agile team
- Support and develop applications and server components within the Customer Communication domain
- Learn to work in a true DevOps setup and grow toward end‑to‑end responsibility
- Contribute to both maintenance activities and innovative projects
- Build a deep understanding of digital document flows across KBC
Key competences that will help you succeed:
- Genuine interest in software development and IT infrastructure
- Education in IT, software engineering, or a related technical field
- 1 year of professional experience with Java
- Motivation to work in an Agile/SAFe environment
- Strong analytical mindset and curiosity to dive into complex systems
- Proactive approach and eagerness to learn and grow
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to the team
- Clear, open, and collaborative communication style
Nice‑to‑haves (or willingness to learn)

About the role:
Performs E2E implementation, regular problem solving, maintenance and support for an agile development of software solutions in a diverse context w.r.t. business domains, technological environments and cooperation models.
Responsibilities:
- Realize various and multiple software engineering activities w.r.t. business requirements, functional design, technical design, development, application integration, package configuration, testing, deployment and other software related development activities.
- Maintain, monitor and manage systems and applications with extra attention for performance, quality and security.
