O365 Application Manager

We are looking for an O365 Application Manager  to join our team in Varna. Working closely with a local colleague and the Belgium-based Application & Process Management team, you will support and manage the key tools and integrations used by the Internal Communication department. Your primary focus will be KBC KnowledgeBase and KBC Connect!, ensuring smooth operation, user support, and continuous improvement of these SharePoint-based platforms.
  • KBC KnowledgeBase is the official and centrally managed repository for all internal instructions and guidelines in KBC Belgium. Mainly used by people in the commercial network. But consists also of info for head office colleagues. 
  • KBC Connect! is the official portal for internal news and communication in KBC Belgium.

 These tools are built in SharePoint. (We try to stay as close to the Out of the box SharePoint configuration with some small customizations). So good Knowledge of SharePoint is definitely a must! Next to this you will be responsible for other tools like configuration lists, content management tools in SharePoint, the news element on the My Kate Portal. And a number of Power Automate flows or PowerApps to support our internal processes. 

 

As our O365 Application Manager, you would have the following responsibilities:

  • Providing support for these applications to both experienced and inexperienced users. Mostly to the authors of these applications, but also to more advanced roles like gatekeepers, content owners and site owners. 
  • Closely collaborating with the IT development team to define, document and test new functionalities. When you see an opportunity for improvement, you work together with the BE process management team to create a formal functional requirements document as input for the IT development team
  • Functional Analysis and helping the process/project manager with the setup of new processes or optimizing current ones. Listening to the stakeholders and colleagues in Internal communication. Helping with interviews or Ulabs with end-users/authors. And translating the business requirements to possible technical solutions. Prepare intakes for IT projects. 
  • Creating Power automate flows for supporting processes for application management or authors. Or for one time bulk actions or migrations. Also flows that generate Excel files for reporting purposes. The project Manager will come to you with the functional needs or desired output and you’re responsible for finding the right setup and solution to the problem. You'll asses the needs and do a proposal for the best technical solution first and then start building. Afterwards you’ll also document the solution in Confluence. 

Key competencies, that will help you succeed:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT support or similar role
  • Good understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Good knowledge of and preferably some experience with:
    • SharePoint administration and management 
    • MS Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps) 
    • MS Excel including more advanced features such as PowerQuery, pivot tables and office scripts 
    • Microsoft M365 security and SharePoint permission levels 
    • SharePoint REST API’s and Graph API’s 
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in an international team
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Experience with working with JIRA/Confluence 
  • Working with ServiceNow or any other incident follow up tool. 

 

Significant advantage:
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, macros)
  • Familiarity with CSS or front-end customization.
