What does this vacancy entail?
Do you have the mindset of a hacker? Good! Together with your colleagues you can keep the cybercriminals out. As a financial institution we need to prevent, detect and solve safety risks. We are the digital leader within our sector and we would like to keep it this way.
You will be a member of the pentest team within KBC, where you will execute penetration tests on our applications, internal systems and infrastructure. You will collaborate with other teams to discuss how we can improve our security maturity and how vulnerabilities can be solved. You will determine the priorities in close collaboration with other teams.
As our Pentester, you would have the following responsibilities:
• You'll be part of the pentest team and execute penetration tests to find possible weaknesses in our systems and improve the maturity within our organisation
• You'll investigate the most common attack techniques in regards to web/mobile application security and infrastructure security that are being used nowadays. You evaluate if these are exploitable within our organisation.
• You develop tools, processes, etc. that will support our team
• You give advice about possible improvements in our security architecture and infrastructure
• You have the communications skills needed to assist teams in the prioritisation of their action plans
Key competences that will help you succeed:
• You're passionate about IT and cybersecurity
• You already have experience in executing penetration tests
• You're up-to-date about the current offensive security techniques
• You're experienced in the use of security tools
• You have strong analytical skills
• You can propose improvements based on security analyses
• You have a hacker mentality and you can deepen yourself in certain situations
• You can handle a fast evolving environment within a large organisation with different teams
• Your certificates (such as OSCP, OSCE, CRTO, SANS or similar) would definitely be a bonus
• You're experienced in the coaching of juniors (senior level)
• You have a strong oral and written knowledge of English
