Context:
Our agile release train Credit Risk is part of the ICT division of DGF (Data Group Functions). Our train (approx. 70 colleagues) serves the business units of GRS, BU BE, Group risk, GCRD and Group finance. We manage risks and create both internal and external reports. Several teams collaborate closely to ensure this reporting is consistent and in line with the regulations. The teams on the Agile Release Train (ART) work in BIIO, meaning IT and business colleagues work closely together.
We are searching for a scrum master (SM) in Basel team. This team is responsible for many credit risk related reporting applications: AnaCredit, Credits ICM, CRIMS, ESG, RAY and Vespa. Following the SAFe guidelines “you build it, you run it” the team performs both the create, change and run work. Given the broad mix of applications and stakeholders, you will come in touch with a lot of different colleagues, reports and technologies. Also, in the next few years all our applications will migrate to Rainbow, a new groupwide data warehouse that is being built within GRS, which is another big challenge to be taken together with all other teams on our train.
What will you do in this job?
The Scrum Master’s primary responsibility is assisting the self-organizing, self-managing team to achieve its goals:
- You are a servant leader and coach for an Agile Team
- You help to educate the team in agile and SAFe, ensuring that the agreed Agile process is being followed
- You help to remove impediments and you foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement
- You work in close cooperation with the Product Owner, and assist him/her in preparing and refining the backlog for the different planning cycles
- You lead team level retrospectives, sprint & iteration planning, daily scrum, …
- You schedule and moderate the agile ceremonies such as huddles, refinements and planning, retrospectives
- You seek and learn from feedback, as well you provide feedback to your team
- You work closely together with the management team of the Agile Release Train
