Senior Technical Business Analyst (Credit Risk)

The team

This vacancy is situated on the ART Credit Risk in the domain of client and credit risk calculations. The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of applications used in the credit and regulatory reporting processes (AnaCredits, Credits ICM, CRIMS, RAY and ESG). 
In general our applications process information that is related to credit risk (counterparty information, risk figures, credits, loans, collaterals,…) and deliver reports to the different business partners: G-RISK, GCRD and BU BE. Some of these reports are also provided to the regulators.
You will work in a SAFE context with a mixed business ICT team with focus on end-to-end tasks.

As our Senior Functional Analyst, you would have the following responsibilities:

  • Conducts functional analysis of information systems, so that they meet the business needs within the framework of architecture and standards.
  • Daily monitoring and follow-up of reporting applications, ensuring effective communication of status and results to stakeholders through regular huddles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable proposals for optimizing processes, driving positive change and advancing business objectives
  • Draws up a functional design of the software.
  • translate the requirements into a technical implementation
  • Join the SAFe ceremonies (PI Planning, Sprint Planning,…) where we have a lot of interaction within and outside the team and every team member takes responsibility to pick tasks from the backlog, discuss requirements, give status update on open tasks, give and accept open feedback,…
  • Participates in the whole software delivery lifecycle, from the design/development stage, through UAT, to the production phase and eventually the aftercare during the warranty period.
  • Identifies and analyses detected functional bugs and incident in test/ UAT and production environments. 
  • Documenting and managing the processes and changes assigned to you.


Key competences that will help you succeed: 

  • 5+ years of experience as a functional analyst, technical business analyst or similar role on which you have used the following technologies:
  •      - Open Systems (Linux), Oracle, SQL, PowerCenter, SAS, Perl, UAC, Qlik Sense, Perl , Test automation…
  • Hands on knowledge of Credit Risk calculations (BECRIS), credit and regulatory reporting processes (AnaCredits, Credits ICM, CRIMS, RAY and ESG), counterparty information, risk figures, credits, loans, collaterals
  • Experience in Data Ware Housing..
  • Experience in Business Process Modelling, info gathering.
  • Experience in Functional Modelling: Use Case modelling, Data modelling.


A significant advantage would be to have: 

  • Analytical skills to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources.
  • Strong problem solving and research skills, systems thinking, quick learning, Stakeholder management.
  • Technical knowledge, including experience with software development and testing
  • Experience with requirement management and documentation tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Knowledge of Agile: Impact mapping, Story mapping, Slicing, SAFe methodology
