The Team
The KBC Autolease IT delivery team operates at KBC Autolease and is responsible for the development and support of Miles, MoveSmart and MoveSmart in Mobile. These are purchased and curated applications that manage KBC Autolease's entire portfolio of cars and bikes. This includes both technical and application support. The team consists of application engineers, functional analysts as well as application managers, a total of 14 people, spread across Belgium (headquarters Leuven) and Bulgaria (Varna). To structurally strengthen the KBC Autolease IT delivery team, we are looking for a system architect who can also assist the functional analysts within our team. We want you to take on a varied, exciting role with lots of challenges in terms of architectural, functional and data analyses.

The role

• As a system architect, you are responsible for analysing customer requests and determining appropriate solutions based on business needs. You design solution roadmaps, and system and software architecture according to business strategies and (SA) standards/processes.
• Implement robust security measures, data protection strategies, and compliance best practices.
• Stay current on industry regulations and standards to safeguard systems and data.
• You are jointly responsible for the functional analysis of change requests submitted by the business. You translate business requirements into functionally described solutions, also taking into account non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security and architecture.
• Data analysis is also one of your subtasks, your main focus is discussing and translating business needs into concrete data requirements, and finding solutions for those requirements.
• You ensure the creation and maintenance of documentation/best practices so that continuity of knowledge can be guaranteed.
• You, together with the team, are responsible for managing applications, products or technology domains to deliver high quality service at the application level.

Key competences:

• Experience in a similar role is mandatory.
• You have a driven and dynamic personality. You are assertive, convincing and diplomatic. You take on assignments spontaneously, coordinate with stakeholders, dare to challenge, and take your colleagues with you to achieve a good result. You have a pragmatic view on things.
• You like to take responsibility and you are able to work independently and problem-solve. You are result-oriented with an eye for risk and quality.
• You can think things through conceptually and have a solid dose of analysis and synthesis skills. You look for creative solutions that meet the requirements set and guarantee the continuity of existing processes and systems. 
• You are a team player
• You have a good knowledge of English. 
• An interest in new technology is a must, although you do not need to have technical knowledge yourself. 
• To this end, organisational skills and flexibility are important, but also a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dive into the bits and bytes. A healthy dose of stress-resistance is a bonus.
