KBC Global Services is the engine behind KBC Group – a leading bank-insurance group with over 45,000 talented employees serving more than 12 million clients across Europe.
The Bulgarian branch of our company was established in 2019 to provide back-office support to the bank and insurance entities within KBC Group in Insurance, Credits and Financing, AML KYC, AML KYT, Accounts Controlling and other business domains.
The Compliance team performs whole range of activities, mostly focusing on data protection & AI, whistleblowing, business ethics, internal rules creation and revision, company’s reputation prevention, etc. The main aim is ensuring compliance with national and European applicable laws, regulations and their transposition into the internal company rules. Compliance has a preventive and advisory role. Controlling and monitoring of certain activities within the company are also part of the daily compliance activities. The domains of activity include: Corporate governance, Data protection, Whistleblowing, Business ethics, Conflicts of interest, etc.
As our Compliance officer, your main responsibilities will be:
• Prevention and advice: giving advice to the business; writing internal procedures; issuing internal communications to raise compliance awareness; work out training courses
• Monitoring: relevant controls (periodical or ad hoc) to review whether the decisions/recommendations/policies are observed both on the structural level and on the individual level
• Investigation: in case of indication of possible breach of a rule in the area of compliance
Key competences that will help you succeed:
• Experience on similar position is essential
• Very good knowledge of English (written and verbal) is necessary
• Previous experience and understanding of GDPR
• Master Degree in Law is a plus but is not mandatory
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• “Can – do” attitude
• Positive and proactive approach, open mind
• Good adaptability to changes
• Psychological resistance, reliability and discretion
