KBC Global Services is the engine behind KBC Group – a leading bank-insurance group with over 45,000 talented employees serving more than 12 million clients across Europe. Since 2021, we have been supporting the digital transformation of KBC Group providing software development, QA, AI and other IT solutions working on a wide range of projects combining classical IT with digital banking.

What you will be doing:

•    Be involved in identification and analysis (including root causes) of non-financial risks
•    Be leading the activities for solving and reporting operational risks (you will be doing process analysis and looking for weak spots in those processes)
•    Be supporting and consulting for the teams under your care
•    Be creating suggestions for improvement of processes and lowering the risk (often you will ask: What happens if...?)
•    Be supporting the business and coordination of the implementation of Group wide risk projects and policies, risk self-assessments, risk advices, risk scans, control framework, etc.
•    Not be processing credit risk (respectively drowning in data every day, that is really not what this job is about)

In addition, you will also be involved in:

•    Allocation of work, ensuring all necessary services are available and workload is under control
•    Knowledge management
•    Continuously monitoring capacity, efficiency, and risk of activities
•    Participation in team meetings and huddles
•    Documentation and reporting

Key competences that will help you succeed: 

•    You have or want to have risk as a “matter close to heart”, you are interested in Information Technology as well
•   You have a strong personality and you know how to talk to different kinds of people (you will often explain or defend things that may not be enthusiastically received)
•    You communicate clearly and convincingly and speak and write well in English
•    You will not lose the eagerness to try new things and to work on new projects
•    A team player who likes to support colleagues and the business
•    You are proactive, organized, with excellent self- and time-management skills
•    You are a critical thinker with sound analytical skills
•    Knowledge in Agile would be considered an advantage but it is not mandatory
•    Ideally you would have a University degree or equivalent, having relevant job experience (preferably in functions related to managing risk, quality control, audit, compliance, controls and analysis, etc.)
