Since 2021, we have been supporting the digital transformation of KBC Group providing software development, QA, AI and other IT solutions working on a wide range of projects combining classical IT with digital banking.

This System Engineer role is located in the PayCore & Branches sub-team within the Core Payments Agile Released Train. We are a growing SAFe team providing support for KBC's various international branches. For the KBC New York migration project, we are looking for a System Engineer to join us in the successful implementation of our application-based track.

As our System Engineer, you would have the following responsibilities:

•    Comprehending the functional design, based on the functional specifications;

•    Drawing up the program structure based on the technical design;

•    Modify existing programs for production;

•    Designing related changes to be updated in the design document;

•    Conducting self & peer code review;

•    Resolving the assigned incidents and defects and track to closure.

Key competences that will help you succeed:

•    Experience with various tools and programming languages (Linux bash, Perl, Python, SQL, Oracle databases)

•    Ability to easily set up a schedule in UAC

•    Knowledge of performance optimization on Unix-based systems

•    Related experience in DevOps practices and tools;

•    Excellent English skills both spoken and written;

•    Good multitasking skills, and  working well under strict deadlines;

•    You are a team player, but you can work independently;

•    You won’t get discouraged by changing priorities or constraints and will search for solutions.

•    Strong communication skills
