Since 2021, we have been supporting the digital transformation of KBC Group providing software development, QA, AI, and other IT solutions working on a wide range of projects combining classical IT with digital banking.

Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and fully automated systems are fundamental for our next generation KBC environment. You will join the team that is pioneering with these concepts and is leading the change towards software defined architectures. The desired state is that each standardized infrastructure service is obtainable by some versioned code declaration and fully automated in the creation, modification, and deletion.

As our Systems Engineer, you would have the following responsibilities:

• Work on the security, reliability, availability and recoverability of all components in our IaC pipeline
• Enable other teams in onboarding on IaC pipelines and getting onto speed with IaC driven management of their systems
• Troubleshoot & resolve advanced performance issues with respect to the IaC pipelines
• Work together with several senior software engineers in developing new features, improve existing functionality and resolving several known issues
• Implementing a central web application (skyline) that keeps a real-time skyline overview of everything that is going on in the different service brokers
• Developing a service broker framework (own grown python web application based on Flask, Celery) which can be leveraged to offer infrastructure services via a common REST interface 

Key competences that will help you succeed:

• Profound experience with Python, Ansible, CICD pipelines, linux
• 5+ years experience with datacenter infrastructure management
• Experience with system design and architecture
• Experience with REST API’s & library development to support communication with REST API’s
