Since 2021, we have been supporting the digital transformation of KBC Group providing software development, QA, AI and other IT solutions working on a wide range of projects combining classical IT with digital banking.
Become a part of the Business Solutions Competence Center (BSCC) and contribute to process automation and optimization! We work with the BPM software – Pega and Appian. As part of the system team, you will keep the platforms secure and operational in the context of KBC, manage and implement infrastructure changes and help with setting up integrations between our BPM tools and other systems across the KBC Group. Don’t worry if you don’t know everything, we will teach you, as most important for us is desire to learn new stuff and "get things done" attitude.
As our System Engineer, you would have the following responsibilities:
• Maintain BAU operations on all BPM servers in RHEL context (patching/hotfixing, upgrades, configuration)
• Ensure resolution of infrastructure related issues
• Be Point of Contact for Infrastructure related queries, discussions and initiatives
• Monitor environment health and performance (through logs, reports and dashboards)
• Take ownership and appropriate measures for infrastructure assets (Certificates, Machine Users, IaC playbooks, etc.)
• Manage, oversee and implement integrations (APIs, File transfers etc.) with other systems
• Manage and develop up-to-date documentation on Infrastructure
• Screen opportunities for optimization and general improvement
Key competences that will help you succeed:
• Strong proactive attitude, can-do mindset
• Critical and analytical thinking – the daily work requires investigations, root cause analysis, able to challenge requirements received, get to bottom of things, troubleshooting
• Flexibility to act and adapt quickly and provide support
• Strong communication skills – mediator between various internal and external stakeholders
• At least 2 years of proven technical background in IT support; system engineering or other relevant
• Knowledge on networks – basic understanding of authentication/APIs/Certificates is required
• Knowledge on Python - beginner to mid level
• At least basic Linux administration and bash scripting
• Familiar with Git, IaC (Infrastructure as code) – Ansible and Jenkins
• Ability to write clear documentation
What's nice to have?
• Knowledge of databases (SQL flavors)
• Knowledge of Appian and/or Pega
