KBC Global Services is the engine behind KBC Group, a leading bank-insurance group with over 45,000 talented employees serving more than 12 million clients across Europe. The Bulgarian branch of our company was established in 2019 to provide back-office support to the bank and insurance entities within KBC Group in Anti-Money Laundering, Insurance, Daily Banking, Accounts controlling, Business Solutions Competence Centre, Credits and Financing and other business domains.

What do we expect from you?

• You contribute to the security of our critical servers and systems
• You ensure that our security analysts are able to have the right things at their disposal (infrastructure, data,...) in order to detect and analyze security incidents efficiently and correctly
• You are responsible for the application management of our various systems. This includes the following responsibilities and tasks: maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, monitoring,...
• You manage the security related log flows o Log collection of network and file based log sources in collaboration with the ELK team, both of applications and infrastructure components o Log collection of SQL databases, Managed File Transfers and (cloud) APIs o Setting up filtering and data transformation
• Prepare setup of new infrastructure together with the architects and get it approved by our organization
• Monitoring the market, e.g. deployment of alternative tools

• You have a broad view on operating systems, middleware, appliances and networks - and you are willing to broaden this knowledge even further
• You want to expand your technical knowledge further in depth by getting to know and understand our detection systems
• You have technical and analytical skills.
• You have a natural tendency to be thorough, meticulous and well-documented
• You are bitten to work on complex problems

The following basic knowledge is required:

• Experience with system administration and troubleshooting
• Network knowledge (firewalls, proxies, dns,...)
• Fluent in English because we work with non-native speakers
• Good knowledge of Linux, Windows is a plus. If you already have experience in 1 or more of these technical areas, that is definitely a plus:
• Windows
• Active Directory
• Big data systems
• Log shipping tools such as logstash, fluentd and vector
• Container technologies such as docker, podman, openshift and kubernetes
• Security
